We have worked on many different styles of residential projects over the years, elements of some of which are shown above. The thread that binds them together is how they all are intentionally and purposely built with the occupant's health and the environmental impact of the project foremost on our minds. We strive to practice build-biology-inspired practices with our intentions around creating toxin and pollutant-free indoor air quality; limiting the risk of mold growth potential; and eliminating the use of building products and chemicals that are toxic to humans. Simultaneously, we strive to create structures that (unlike the vast majority of American homes) evaluate and minimize the carbon footprint and environmental impact of the construction process itself. This not only involves how energy is provided to the house after it is occupied (making this element as sustainable and renewable as possible), but also choosing construction materials and methods that limit how much the creation of the home itself contributes to climate-warming greenhouse gas emissions. If these values ring true to you, we may be your builders!
